Friday the 1st I had a half day of work so me and J decided to head to the beach! We went to our little spot where there is no traffic and no crowds. It was our first trip to the beach this summer and we had to carry on with the tradition. THIS tradition:
Mmmmmm a Windmill hotdog. J grew up eating these whenever his family went to the beach. They are the best hotdogs ever!
Needless to say, I did not eat the best this weekend. BUT I did work out like crazy. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday I worked out for an hour +. I knew I was going to eat some not so ww friendly items, so I tried to make up for it by working my booty off. I hope it worked, but I guess we will find out on the 11th.
Sprinkled in with all the poor food choices, I did manage to make a few smart ones. Starting with a family bbq on Sunday. Whenever I wanted to munch on something, instead of grabbing for the chips I went for the watermelon. And it was yummy too.
Also, last night on 4th of July...I wanted to cook a festive meal for J and I. I bought 95/5 burger patties at Wegmans and cooked those up. They were huge and awesome. Clocked in at only 4pts each! Put them on a light roll with mustard, tomato, onion and pickles....a HUGE 6 point burger. Awesome. I bought J some mayo drenched macaroni salad and made myself some couscous. Whole wheat couscous, cucumber, tomato, onion, basil vinaigrette, and some feta. Delicious and so much better for you than the macaroni salad. We will be eating the left over couscous with some grilled chicken tonight.
Did I gain weight? I HOPE NOT! I don't think I did. J said I am starting to look really "skinny." HAHA I think it's funny to hear that because I am no where close to being skinny. I guess it's just his way of saying I look like I lost weight. Or maybe he was just trying to be a sweet awesome boyfriend? Who knows, but I will take the compliment. Especially after my feelings last week!!
To prepare for my weigh in on the 11th I am going to work sooo hard and eat so right. I need to start journaling my food intake again. I have stopped doing that and that is a bad habit. I want to lose at least 5lb since my last weigh in on the 20th. That's three weeks...totally manageable. I hope :)
