Measurements

Inches are just as important as pounds.  Since I do not have anything too exciting going on weight loss wise, I decided to measure my journey in a different way by taking my measurements.


It seems like I have been stuck at the same weight for the past.....5 months! Wow...that sucks.  Even though I haven't lost a ton of weight recently, that doesn't mean I haven't been successful.  Like I have said in the past, success isn't only on the scale. I have been somewhat mad at myself for making poor eating decisions and not sticking to the weight watchers plan.  My exercise has been on point always...it's the eating that is the hard part.  I make dumb decisions and then later regret them.  I need to change this pattern. Immediately.  Esp if I want to reach my 50lb goal by Jan 24...my 1 year ww anniversary.  At this moment...this does not seem doable.


In an attempt to lift my spirits I decided to take my measurements.  Unfortunately i did not do this in the beginning so I am not sure how far I have really come this past year.  Lucky Unlucky for me, I have been fat my whole life and have tried losing weight before.  Therefore I have measurements from the past that were taken by my old friend who was a personal trainer.  These measurements are from 2007 and 2009.  In 2007 I went on a training program where my friend helped with my diet and exercise program.  It was actually pretty successful....until I gave up.  My beginning measurements are from 10/12/07.  Unfortunately I did not take down my weight but I know that it was not as bad as I was a year ago at 315lbs. Therefore last year I was even larger than these stats:

10/12/07
Neck: 17 in
Arm: 21 in
Chest: 54 in
Waist: 54 in
Thigh: 32 in
Calf: 20.5 in

Through that little/short journey in 2007 I did end up losing 16 inches. Not too bad!

1/19/08

Neck: 15 in
Arm: 18.5 in
Chest: 51.25 in
Waist: 48 in
Thigh: 30 in
Calf: 19.25 in

Unfortunately I did give up at that time and I took measurements on 5/29/09 and I gained all of the inches back. Boooo.  Oh well...if I didn't do that then I wouldn't be where I am today.

Here are my current measurements:

1/15/12

Neck: 15 in
Arm: 19 in
Chest: 49.5 in
Waist: 47.5 in
Abdomen: 48 in
Upper Thigh: 29.5 in
Lower Thigh: 21.5 in
Calf: 19.5 in

Those measurements are all significantly lower than the 2009 ones!  I hope to improve on those next time I take measurements! :)
