We all make them, some more than others. I, my friends, make them all.the.time. Almost daily. It's unfortunate. Lucky for me, there are all different types of PLDs. The ones you make when you spend your whole paycheck on a pair of shoes. The ones you make when you send that late night text to the boy you shouldn't like. The ones you make when you eat cookies for breakfast. The ones you make when the holidays roll around and you forget that you have a gym membership. Yup, that happened.
The holidays are usually a trigger for PLDs and I am no exception. Every since the beginning of December there has been holiday parties, cookie exchanges and celebratory drunken nights every weekend. All of these events are expected in the month of December and usually anticipated with excitement. So where is the problem? The problem is....the regret the day after!
I am sitting here (at work, don't tell) feeling like a hot mess. I haven't slept in 3 days and I have been in a food coma just as long. My weekend consisted of a holiday party and after party, a crazy drunken night out with my best friends in Philadelphia, Christmas Eve party and then of course Christmas Day family get together. All events mentioned were filled with great people, great memories and a lot of calories.
I haven't been to the gym since Wednesday and I am not stepping on that scale any time soon. I need to do some damage control. I'm not worried tho. This happens every year and I will come out on top!
In fact....I got new kicks for Christmas this year!

I hope everyone had a great holiday! Don't worry if you went a little overboard, it was only for a day or two. Just remember your goals and get right back into it! We just have to get through New Years and then we are home free!
