Week Update

Let's did this week go...hmmmm...

It was a so so week.  After my 7lb loss the past 3 weeks I was feeling very motivated!  I ate pretty well this whole week but I only went to the gym 3 days.  Oops.  Wednesday I did Zumba and had an awesome sweat sesh.  Thursday I went to the gym and ran a bit.  My back was really hurting from doing 2 high impact activities 2 days in a row so I knew I had to back off a bit.  That isn't ideal but I just had back surgery and I know I need to ease back into things.  I really need to listen to my body so I am trying to take it easy when I feel like I am pushing too hard.  I did end up going to the gym Sunday but I decided not to run. Instead I walked on the treadmill with an incline.  What a workout!!!  Walking at 3.5mph with a 1.5 incline was such a good workout!  You wouldn't think a 1.5 incline does anything, but seriously...that small incline made a HUGE difference.  My heart rate was high and stayed there almost the whole time.  I'm a fan.  On days I feel like I should skip running, I am DEF going to be walking fast with an incline.  Loved that sweaty mess of a workout!

So those were my workouts for the week!  Eating wise I did pretty well although I did have a few fat girl moments this weekend.  On Friday I had pizza and then my friend had a cookie exchange party.  The party was so fun!  A lot of awesome people getting together, drinking wine and exchanging cookies.  Of course I ate a little much of the snacks my friend had, but at least I somewhat planned for it (not by eating pizza for lunch lol).  But the beginning of the week I ate perfectly because I knew Friday night would be a food challenge.  I ended up making like 5 dozen rugelach cookies (jewish pastry type cookies) and when I left the party I had about a million cookies from the exchange.  I didn't eat one cookie that night and I planned on leaving all of the cookies I got at my parents house.  The next day however...I lost a bit of control.

I was at my parents house the next morning and ate like 5-6 cookies for BREAKFAST.  Wtf.  I wanted to try the different kinds so I had one of each.  I then had a bagel and eggs for the rest of my breakfast.  MISTAKE!  The rest of the day I felt so guilty and my stomach hurt so bad from eating the cookies.  I didn't eat anything the rest of the day.  Which I know it's bad not to eat...but my stomach hurt and I wasn't hungry.  I'm such an idiot.  I am never eating that many cookies again. I guess my body just isn't used to that much sugar and sweets at one time!  (That's a great thing)

Last night I had a family dinner so the food wasn't super healthy.  I did eat well all day planning for a not so great dinner so hopefully the damage was minimal.  I have ww weigh in tonight and by the looks of my weigh in this morning...things don't look awesome.  I weighed in with only a 1lb loss for the week and that was first thing  this morning. Everyone knows you weigh less in the morning than at night.  Sooooo I am not really expecting a loss at ww tonight.  Bummer. But that's ok...I just have to keep trying!
