Creating the Habit...Again

Happy Friday!

The past few several posts I have talked nonstop about losing my motivation and trying to get back into the swing of things.  The main goal I had for myself this week was to work on my motivation and desire to get to the gym.  I ended up going Wed and Thurs and both times I wasn't 100% dreading it...counting that as a win.

Wednesday night I did my favorite zumba class and had so much fun.  I don't know why I always dread going to the gym because once I'm there, I love it! I think the cold weather and darkness at 5pm does not help.  It totally makes you want to just go home and be lazy...I need to fight that urge daily.

I usually don't go to the gym after work on Thursdays, it has always been my rest day. Ummmmm, by rest day I mean when I actually was going to the gym 5-6x a week...haha.  Nowadays when I am going 2-3x a week...I do not have designated rest days...shit...everyday has been a rest day unfortunately. Fail. Anyways...a new co worker at my job started teaching a kickboxing cardio class at my gym on Thursday nights.  Last night was her first class and I told her I would be there! I'm so glad I was awesome.  My heart rate was up the whole time and it was an awesomely fun workout!  I am so glad that I found a good class on a Thursday so I have an excuse to go to the gym every week on that night. Yeah. Buddy.

Thursday Cardio Kickboxing

I have not been using my Polar heart rate monitor because it currently needs a new battery and I can't find one.  Can I please say that not using that is TORTURE.  I am so dependent on it every workout and I am constantly looking at my empty wrist for calorie/heart rate checks.  Ahhhh I need to find a new battery.  For anyone who doesn't have one...I highly suggest putting this on your holiday wish list! It's a must have!

This weekend will be a nightmare for my weightloss and DietBet.  So whoever is playing the same game as me or wants an easy win...go sign up...and you're welcome.  Tonight I have a cookie exchange with some friends and then tomorrow I have dinner at a Brazilian steak house with another set of friends. Goooooooooooood lord fat girl weekend dream come true right there. My plan is to live my life and do whatever I damn well want to, BUT, I will be leaving most of the cookies I get with my parents and will not eat until I throw up on Saturday.

    1. It's so hard to get it back once it's gone! But we CAN do it!!! :)

  2. Gotta get that motivation back! The hardest step of going to the gym is actually leaving the house/office! A kickboxing cardio class sounds pretty decent though!

  4. I love your shoes !!!!!!!! Are they Nikes? Its really hard to stay motivated this time of year. I have been having a hard time myself.. I managed to go about three times as well.. Merry Christmas!!!

      It is SO hard to stay motivated!! Hopefully after the holidays we can get right back on track!

The only reason most people fail in their fitness goals is that they have good intentions at first to adopt a new lifestyle, yet after a few weeks or months, they abandon their good intentions and slip right back into their old bad habits that gave them the excess body fat in the first place.
