A Trial Dance at the Gym...

For the past few weeks my back has been hurting pretty bad and I decided to give it a good rest, which I did for once.  Not sure if it was because I didn't want to be a stubborn brat and listen to what people told me or if it was because I was being lazy. Either way...I rested, for about 2 solid weeks.

Last night I decided that I was ready to make my 2 week hiatus gym debut!  It was Wednesday and Wednesday's are zumba days so that was a nice coincidence.  My back was still sore but it didn't hurt.  I started out strong and did my thanggg but then towards the end I had to tone it down a bit.  Too much slore moves of hip shaking and air humping...those hurt the most.  After an hour of zumba I was feeling pretty good...workout wise.  It was a good burn for my first time back in awhile.

I'm really glad I decided to go back! I really missed the gym...weird, I know.  I may be a large girl but I do love working out (once I'm physically at the gym lol).  I love the feeling of a fast heart beat and sweaty bangs!  There really is no greater feeling...except stepping on the scale and seeing results. :)


  1. I am a bigger girl as well but I love working out. I don't do zumba anymore because when I did it the class was hip hop based and now that the trainer has stopped teaching it other zumba classes are too slow.

  2. Glad you feeling better if not 100% yet. At least you made the effort. I am also a Big Girl and love to dance, so instead of Zumba at the gym I train with weights and do strength traing there instead and Zumba at home. My hubby bought me the entire home DVD set! So much fun and also can dance away while the fan blasts cool air at me hahaha.
