This scares the crap out of me considering that I had surgery to fix these issues. Are they back?? I HOPE NOT!! That is my nightmare. No one understands the pain and suffering I was in. It was a very dark place that I have no desire to enter again.
I'm not sure why all of a sudden my back is killing me the way it is. I haven't done anything different than what I have been doing for the past year since recovery. The worst part is that it's not a sore pain that I sometimes get, it's the same pain I was feeling before surgery. That's what's terrifying.
So now what?! I'm pretty sure it's coming from doing 3 classes back to back that all require a lot of jumping around which I'm not supposed to do. In my body works and abs class I even do the jumping while holding weights...which I was told to never do. And of course, me being me, I don't listen and usually do whatever I want until my back is sore, then I stop. Well my back isn't sore...it just plain hurts. So I'm stopping. Maybe.
I may not be going to zumba and kickboxing this week so I will post what I have done...not much.
Last night I did the body works and abs class. I really pushed myself hard and made sure I tried my best at every exercise she gave us. It felt amazing, I was dripping sweat the whole time. I love that. I have to admit that my back really started hurting during the box jumps. We were to hold 10lb weights while we jumped...I think that's what hurt my back so much. You see, I still have a hole in my spine and I'm not supposed to put weight down on it or it could collapse. I quickly dropped the weights but continued with the jumping. I'm just so damn stubborn. I hate quitting and I never want to so I put myself through physical pain to finish. Stupid. But that's me...
I didn't food prep any protein this weekend but I did plan on easy after gym meals to make. I bought avocados and wanted to make them with steak or eggs. Last night I was feeling inspired by a few instagram pictures I saw and wanted to make an egg bake thing. I took 2 eggs and 2 egg whites and added chopped tomatoes. I cooked that in a pan with a lid covering it. Once it was done I added avocado, tomato and red onion. It was so yummy and easy to make. Perfect for when you're tired after the gym and don't feel like cooking.
